Travelling South on the M1 (8.5 miles)
Exit M1 at Junction 38.
Take your 1st exit – Haigh Lane
Turn right at the junction onto Woolley Edge Lane
Turn left at the junction onto B6428
Turn right on A61
Turn left onto B6132
Take 2nd exit onto Carlton Road
Turn right onto Church Street
Turn left onto Shaw Lane, continue onto Weetshaw Lane
At the roundabout follow the A628 then follow the A6195, Outwood Academy Shafton is on your right
Travelling North on the M1 (11.2 miles)
Exit M1 at Junction 36
Follow the signs for A61, at the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Dearne Valley Parkway/A6195
Continue to follow the A6195 for 11 miles, Outwood Academy Shafton is on your left
Travelling on the A1 (8.3 miles)
Leave the A1 by following the signs for A638
Turn right onto A6201 and follow for 5 miles
Follow signs for A628 for 3.3 miles and then at the roundabout take 1st exit onto A6195, Outwood Academy Shafton is on your right
Upon entering the school car park after the barrier, please follow the road round to the left (we operate a one-way system). There are 221 parking spaces with an additional 10 parking spaces for wheelchair users.
We urge parents/carers to remind our students of dangers on the road, especially when leaving the Academy, as this is our busiest time of day.

Following the changes to Government advice, from Monday 23 March our schools will be closed, except for providing childcare to a small number of children. During the period of closure we will not be able to collect correspondence sent via post. There are also only a small number of staff in the academy making it difficult to answer the telephone.
