Dear Parent/Carer,

As you may be aware, during this term, it has been difficult for all involved at home and in school.  We want to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support and appreciate that together we have made some difficult decisions.  Any time away from the classroom is avoided as best it can be and we don’t make decisions to send students home lightly, but we have followed the government guidance and blended learning approaches.

All staff in the academy have worked hard to ensure all students inside and outside the classroom have been provided with high quality resources to minimise the disruption to learning.

Thank you to all parents/carers for contacting us in a timely manner, allowing us to respond swiftly to any positive cases that have come into the academy. As we enter the Easter break, it would be greatly appreciated if you could follow the below procedure:

Please make the academy aware of any new positive cases if:

This form must be completed as soon as possible, in full.  Once the form is submitted, you will be contacted by a member of staff in due course.

Please do NOT contact the academy if:

  • A student has developed symptoms after 5pm on Monday 29 March 2021 and has subsequently received a positive test. As the student will have developed symptoms after 48hrs of last being in the academy, the school does not have to be made aware and parents and carers should follow contact tracing instructions provided by NHS Test and Trace.

Thank you for your ongoing support.

Yours sincerely,

Alison McQueen
