Letter to Y11 Parents and Carers

Dear Parents and Carers,

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for your support at Prom and Prom Breakfast.

I also wanted to apologise to parents and carers who arrived for Prom Breakfast who hadn’t booked spaces via the google link shared on 9 June 2025.

Our Prom Breakfast event has grown so big over the years that, as a result of risk assessments which highlighted the hazard in relation to fire evacuation, it was vital for us to ensure that we were aware of numbers attending the event. From the google link booking form shared in the letter on 9 June, 189 parents booked spaces. However, I recognise that today has resulted in frustration for some of our families and students and I apologise for this. 

Looking forward, we always seek to improve where we can and we will ensure that the booking system for events is made clearer to families. If the event continues to grow, we may not be able to accommodate parents at Prom Breakfast.

Thank you for the support that you have given to your children while they have been on their educational journey with us; we look forward to celebrating with students when they collect their GCSE results in August.
