Letter to Parents and Carers: Winter Uniform and Key Contacts

Dear Parents and Carers,

As we move towards colder weather, I wanted to remind you that students may wear a plain black v-necked jumper as part of our uniform policy (page 9); please note that the v-necked jumper does not need to have the school logo but it must be plain black with a v-neck.

No other jumpers or hoodies are permitted; students will be asked to remove any other type of jumper, hoodie or coat as they enter the building; failure to comply may result in a sanction.  Hoodies and jumpers must never be worn around shoulders and must be stored away in students’ bags.

Students are expected to arrive at the academy wearing their tie. While we can provide loan ties, a C4B sanction will be issued if a tie is not worn. An invoice will also be issued for any loan ties not returned.

Furthermore, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support with maintaining standards for students this term. There has been a noticeable shift in the need to address uniform misdemeanours with students which means that we are able to focus our conversations with students on their achievements, learning and attainment.
