Letter to Y10 Parents and Carers: Essential Year 10 Virtual Maths Enrichment & Preparation for Year 11

Dear Parents and Carers,
As our Year 10 students approach their final year of GCSE preparation, the Maths Department is committed to ensuring they have the strongest possible foundation. The step up to Year 11 is important, and establishing robust revision habits now is crucial for their success next year.
To support your child through their upcoming End of Year exams, we are delighted to offer a series of Virtual Maths Enrichment Sessions. These targeted online google meets will run the evening before each of their maths exams, focusing on key topics, exam techniques, and confidence-building.
These sessions will continue into Year 11 and will then take place once a week starting in September until final GCSE exams in June 2027.
Session Details & Timings
To ensure the content is perfectly tailored to your child's target grade, sessions are split by tier. Please note that the Higher tier runs before the Foundation tier.

- Higher Tier: 5:00pm – 6:00pm (10xMa1, 10xMa2, 10yMa1, 10yMa2, 10yMa3)
- Foundation Tier: 6:00pm – 7:00pm (10xMa3, 10xMa4, 10xMa5, 10xMa6, 10yMa4, 10yMa5, 10yMa6)
Key Dates
The virtual sessions will take place on the following dates this academic year:
- Session 1: Friday 19th June
- Session 2: Wednesday 24th June
- Session 3: Monday 29th June
Free Revision Resources
To support their learning during these virtual sessions, the Maths Department is happy to provide a free revision bundle (including a squared exercise book, pencil and pen) to every student who signs up.
Why attend? Students will use these resources during the live sessions to build a set of personalised revision notes that will be an invaluable tool that will take them straight into Year 11 this September.
How to Register
Spaces for these virtual sessions are free but must be reserved so we can distribute the resource bundles to students in school before the first session. They are available on a first come first serve basis.
