Letter to Year 10 Parents and Carers: Year 10 GCSE Product Design

Dear Parent/Carer,

As part of the Technology curriculum at Outwood Academy Shafton, students have to create their own products for the Product Design GCSE.  We will provide the materials required to produce the individual products; however, this will incur a cost and we are therefore asking for a contribution of £25 which will cover the cost of 3 projects based around CAD/CAM, workshop and electronics.

This can be paid as a one-off payment or by weekly instalments throughout the year until the payment is complete. Payment should be made via IPayImpact, our online payment system.

We realise that our families lead very busy lives and have therefore designed our payment system to enable your son or daughter to participate in a practical learning experience whilst preventing the need for you to purchase the materials at a greater cost.
