Dear Student,
I am pleased to announce that we plan to hold a Y11 Celebration Prom at The Burntwood Hotel, Brierley, on Thursday 23 June 2022. This will be a fantastic evening and a chance for you to celebrate all of your many achievements at Outwood Academy Shafton with friends, peers and members of staff. As we approach the most important final few months with us, you will need to maintain the incredibly high levels of commitment that you have shown in the first part of Year 11. Therefore, you will be given a Prom Passport with a number of criteria that will need to be completed and signed off before you will be given your ticket. These will include good attendance at the academy, at enrichment and revision sessions, as well as brilliant effort in lessons. You have shown that you are able to meet these standards many times already so I am sure you will be claiming your ticket to this prestigious event very soon.
When you have successfully completed your Prom Passport and given your ticket, the cost of the ticket is £30.00. This covers the meal and drinks which you will receive on the night. More information on how to pay will be shared with you at this time.
Please be aware that the Y11 Celebration Prom may only go ahead if it complies with any COVID-19 guidelines and restrictions. In the case that the prom was unable to take place, tickets will be refunded.
