Letter to Y11 Parents and Carers: Year 11 Leaving Information

Dear Year 11 Parents and Carers,
We are writing to confirm leaving information for our brilliant Year 11.
On the afternoon of Friday 13 June 2025, Year 11 will gather for our annual Y11 shirt signing! We will meet during Period 5 and there will be an opportunity for students to speak with staff, take photos and of course sign shirts. Students will be able to see all teachers and students from other year groups from 2:30pm.
As students still have formal examinations to complete after this date, they must attend school in a clean shirt for their exam; shirts cannot have writing on them due to JCQ exam regulations. A reminder that exams for Physics, Spanish, Product Design and Further Maths are scheduled for the week commencing 16 June 2025. A reminder that full attendance of exams is a criteria for our prom. The schedule for our final week and masterclasses can be found below for students, once they have sat their final exam they no longer need to attend the academy and will move to Study Leave.
The 2025 Prom will be held on Thursday 26 June 2025 at Burntwood Court Hotel. Students who have achieved their invitation should aim to arrive between 6-7pm. This will allow time for students to take those all important photographs before they walk the red carpet! We will aim to do this from 7:15pm. The evening of celebration will finish at 11pm. We understand the significance of this event for students and are diligently working to ensure it is an unforgettable experience.
On Friday 27 June 2025, we will be hosting Prom Breakfast. We would like students to arrive in their Prom wear and meet Mr Chadburn/Mr Bray in the bus park area of the car park from 10:45; students should arrive no later than 11am. Students will know from previous Prom Breakfasts that they will walk the red carpet into the academy and be greeted by their families and our school community. This extra special event will finish at 1pm. Parents/Carers will be able to enter the academy from 11am. If you would like to join us for this event please complete the linked google form.
