Letter to Year 11 Students

Mon 16 Jun 2025
Dear Year 11,

It is with enormous pride that I write to you today, as you embark on a new and exciting chapter in your lives. With just a few exams to go this week I wanted to thank you for your excellent conduct and resilience during the exam period. I say this every year and every cohort raises the bar a little bit more; you have certainly risen to the challenges of Year 11.

As you leave the familiar corridors of our school, I want to offer my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for the future. You are our Year 7 lockdown students, my first Year 7 students as Principal and it has been a privilege watching you grow and develop into the remarkable young adults you are today. Your hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm have been truly inspiring. I am confident that you are well-equipped to face the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

As you move forward, I encourage you to embrace new experiences, whether it's traveling, further education, or starting a new job, pursue your passions, and never stop learning. The world is full of possibilities, and I know that each and every one of you has the potential to achieve great things.

I want to express my sincere gratitude to all of you for making my time as your Principal so rewarding. Your energy, creativity, and positive spirit have made a lasting impact on our school community. I will always cherish the memories we have shared together.

Please know that my door is always open, and I am here to support you in any way I can. I look forward to hearing about your future successes and accomplishments.

Once again, congratulations on all that you have achieved, I wish every single member of the Class of 2025 the very best for your future.

Yours faithfully,

Alison McQueen
