Dear Parents and Carers,
We are happy to share with you that we have two personal development opportunities for Year 7 students before the end of term.
First Aid
On Friday 11 July 2025, we are lucky to have secured an external provider called First Aid Schools. They will deliver invaluable First Aid to Year 7 students across the day.
First Aid is a compulsory element of the national curriculum and First Aid Schools deliver bespoke, fun workshops, which are active and engaging. They provide young people with the skills and knowledge to understand the actions required in an emergency situation. The students will attend the workshop with their class for one hour during the school day on Friday- form tutors will notify the students of the time and location during form time.
Public Speaking Workshops
Speakers Trust is an external provider whose vision is for every young person to be able to speak confidently and to be heard. Their mission is to create a pathway for young people, from primary school through further education, to enhance their speaking and communication skills. These skills unlock the individual's potential with benefits spreading to home, school and their future lives.
Up to 60 Y7 students can take part in a three hour workshop, developing and practising their public speaking skills. At the end of the day all students will deliver, through their developing public speaking skills and confidence, a 2-3 minute speech to the rest of the group!
If you would like your child to participate in this personal development opportunity, please complete the following link:

The students will attend the workshop with their class for one hour during the school day on Friday, form tutors will notify the students of the time and location during form time. If you would like any further information please do not hesitate to contact
