Letter to Parents & Carers: September 2025: No Service Buses on Site

Dear Parents and Carers,
I am writing to inform you of a change to the service buses.
As a result of congestion on our site during drop off and pick up, with effect from September, service buses will no longer come on to our site.
This means that students travelling by service bus will get off the bus at an appropriate bus stop. This also means that students will need to go to a bus stop off site when they leave school at the end of the day. Please visit Stagecoach for information on service bus timetables and help for planning your child’s journey to school.
- The bus stop on Engine Lane is: Engine Lane/Hodroyd Lane (bus 28, 38)
- The bus stop at the top of Cudworth is: Pontefract Road/Queens Drive (bus 27, 27a, 27b, 28 and 38)
- The bus stop at Shafton is: Pontefract Road/Tollgate Close (bus 27, 27a, 27b, 28 and 38)
This information will be communicated to students as part of our form programme.
Please plan an appropriate route with your child in advance of September. Please ensure you discuss the importance of road safety with your child, we will also continue to educate through our curriculum.
