Letter to Y11 Parents and Carers: Easter Revision & Coursework Sessions

Dear Parents/Carers,

I am writing to inform you about upcoming holiday revision and coursework sessions that will be taking place during the Easter break, from Monday 30 March to Friday 10 April 2026.

These sessions are designed to provide students with valuable support and guidance. They will offer a focused opportunity to refine coursework, engage in expert-guided practice, and engage in deliberate independent practice to support them in achieving success. Ultimately, these sessions aim to equip students with the skills, knowledge, understanding and confidence necessary to be fully prepared and perform to the best of their ability in final GCSE examinations (Y11). Furthermore, there are some Y10 sessions planned for specific subjects which have a coursework element.

Please see the schedule below for the subjects offered, dates, and times of each session. Some subjects may share additional correspondence with greater details of the sessions.

Students attending the revision sessions should arrive 5 minutes before their allocated time. We are incredibly fortunate at Shafton that our staff are prepared to sacrifice their holiday time in the interests of our students and we believe these revision sessions will be extremely beneficial for students and I encourage them to take advantage of this opportunity.
