Letter to Parents and Carers: Y11 Prom

Dear Parents and Carers,
Our Year 11 students, the Class of 2026, will have their Prom at The Burntwood Hotel, Brierley, on Thursday 25 June 2026. This will be a fantastic evening and a chance for us all to celebrate the many achievements of our Year 11 students during their time at Outwood Academy Shafton.
On Friday 26 June 2026, we will welcome our Year 11 students back to the academy for Prom Breakfast. Prom Breakfast is an opportunity for all students across the academy to see Year 11 come home and to celebrate the achievements of our Class of 2026.
We appreciate the incredible support from our families. However, to maintain a safe and successful celebratory environment, we must limit attendance at the Prom Breakfast to Year 11 students only. Unfortunately, families will no longer be able to join us for this event as a result of growing student numbers in the academy.
