Letter to Parents and Carers: Update Regarding Medical Toilet Passes

Dear Parents and Carers,

As part of our ongoing efforts to maximise lesson engagement and minimise learning disruptions, we are updating our policy regarding medical toilet passes.

Starting after the half-term break, students holding a medical toilet pass will not be permitted to leave class during the first 15 minutes or the final 10 minutes of a lesson. Protecting this crucial instructional time ensures that all students remain fully focused on their learning. 

All students can access the toilets before school, during break and lunchtimes, and throughout lesson changeovers.

If your child has a severe medical condition where this restriction may present a challenge, please contact  s.considine@shafton.outwood.com so we can discuss appropriate support for your family.
